A SOURCED COMPARISON

AtomGo vs Uscreen: the cost of growing and running your OTT

For a training business, professional creator or production company with a catalogue and an audience, two questions matter: what does it cost to serve your members, and which tasks can the platform handle? This comparison uses monthly billing throughout, without mixing in annual discounts.

Your platform bill as membership grows

These figures use monthly billing and exclude introductory offers, taxes, payment processing and extras. The scenario is a subscription website on your own domain, with every member an active billable subscriber. N is the number of those subscribers.

USD per month: platform fee plus active-subscriber fee. The two mobile apps included in Uscreen App Essentials add to its scope.

100USD 199USD 398USD 598
1,000USD 199USD 2,189USD 1,489

At 1,000 subscribers, App Essentials costs less than Growth. Compare both: it includes two mobile apps, while Go is the web platform and apps are contracted separately. The fee difference is not a total project savings calculation.

Uscreen also offers Starter at USD 49/month with no subscriber fee, a 100-member limit and a Uscreen-branded domain. It may be a cheaper starting option if that scope fits. It does not meet the own-domain scenario used in the table.

Go includes 2 TB of storage, 100 GB of encoding per month and up to 1,000 concurrent VOD viewers. Registered subscribers and simultaneous viewers are different measures. Extra capacity is quoted separately; a zero subscriber fee does not mean unlimited capacity.

Account for your catalogue, payments and devices

AtomGo charges 0% platform commission on subscriptions and PPV; your payment gateway charges separately. Uscreen lists a 5% fee on one-time purchases in Growth and App Essentials, and 10% in Starter, plus processing. Include that item when budgeting for courses sold as a single purchase.

Uscreen lists 100 storage hours for Growth and App Essentials, with an additional 100 hours at USD 99/month. AtomGo measures storage in TB: converting hours into TB requires your videos' resolution and bitrate.

Check apps, migration, support, live streaming and integrations separately. Request a written scope for the same catalogue, access rules and devices before choosing.

AI: compare a completed task as well as a connection

AtomGo's AI operations belong to Agentic, at USD 999/month, or an agreed Custom scope. Agentic combines editorial work with CMS/frontend control through API and MCP, with human approval. Configuration and activation are required; implementation and usage are confirmed for your scope. The Go pricing table does not include this service.

Uscreen also has an MCP beta and early-access Headless tools. Its documentation requires developer/API access and the new editor for MCP, describes assistant connections and lists capabilities still in development. Headless requires separate enablement. We do not claim that assistant-based operations are exclusive to AtomGo.

Bring the same task to both providers

  1. Take a real catalogue entry: correct its metadata and thumbnail, then reopen it to check that the changes persisted.
  2. Prepare an editorial piece from material you own; review the text and destination before publication.
  3. Change a section of the homepage, inspect mobile and desktop, and check who can approve or undo the change.

Record preparation, active human time, automated waiting, corrections and usage. This is an evaluation protocol, not a claim that we have timed these tasks in both products.

Nunca había podido hacer una OTT tan fácil y con tanta calidad como ahora. Lo que me sorprendió es que hay muchísimas cosas que las puede hacer la IA con solo una petición

Which would we test first?

AtomGo

If you want an OTT website without a per-subscriber platform fee and plan to evaluate AI-assisted editorial and management work. First check that Go covers your catalogue and concurrency; request Agentic when AI operations are part of your decision.

Uscreen

If you value a package with mobile apps included, migration assistance, or a starting plan for up to 100 members on a Uscreen domain. Confirm the plan, user fees and access to the AI capabilities you need.

Already running an OTT? Test the migration before moving

Test a sample of videos, categories, subtitles and rights; agree how users, subscriptions and payments will be handled. Review URLs, redirects, apps and a reversible transition. We do not promise automatic transfer of passwords, payments or apps without checking the source platform's conditions.
